What is a 'Hackerspace'

Hackerspaces are typically community ran and operated workspaces where like-minded people interested in (but not limited too) technology, machines and computers can get together to work on projects with eachother, pool community rescources, learn or even just socialise.
What is HackSthlm? A community-run hackerspace, in Stockholm. A shared space for building, hacking, and tinkering.
Who can join? Anyone. No experience required — just genuine interest in making things.
How do I join? register on the main site, or mail root@hacksthlm.se
How much does membership cost? TBD
When can I access the space? Members have 24/7 access with their personal nfc/code.
Can I bring a guest? Yes — 1 guest per member at a time. You're responsible for them while they're there.
Can I bring my own tools? Yes. Your tools live on your personal desk and are your responsibility.
What happens if I break something? Try to fix it. If you can't, report it as broken. Don't leave it and say nothing.
Can I leave a project set up overnight? Yes, on your personal desk. Don't use communal space for long-term storage without asking.
Is there a laser cutter? In progress — we're working on getting one. Check the Tools page for current status.
How do I find out if someone can help me with X? Check the Skills & Services directory, or ask in the Discord.
What's on the communal desks? Tools that members have donated to the space. Anyone can use them.
How do I donate a tool to the space? Let the group know, then move it to a communal desk. It becomes the space's to maintain.
How are decisions made? Bring it up in the Discord or at a meetup. Those who work on maintaining the space have higher decision weight!
How do I cancel membership? TBD
Something in the space is broken — what do I do? Report it!
Can I host an event here? Yes — check the Hosting an Event guide and give the group a heads up.
Is there WiFi? Yes. Credentials are in the members area!
