🔥 Fire Procedures

General Rule First

If you are unsure of the fire type or it is spreading — get out, call 112, do not attempt to fight it.

By Fire Type

Type Examples in the Space Use Extinguisher? Which Extinguisher Do NOT Use
Paper / wood / general Cardboard, workbench clutter, furniture ✅ Yes, if small Water (red) or Powder (blue)
Electrical Wiring, PSUs, soldering station, 3D printer, laser cutter ✅ Yes, if small CO₂ (black) only ❌ Water — risk of electrocution
Solvent / chemical IPA, acetone, resin, adhesives ✅ Yes, if small CO₂ (black) or Powder (blue) ❌ Water — spreads the fire
Lithium battery (LiPo/Li-ion) RC batteries, power banks, e-bikes ⚠️ Contain only Flood with water to cool, do not smother ❌ CO₂ or powder — won't stop LiPo thermal runaway
Large / spreading / unknown Anything growing fast 🚫 Evacuate ❌ Don't fight it
