Expected Behavior

  • Be respectful and inclusive
  • Welcome newcomers
  • Give constructive feedback
  • Respect others'your fellow hackers - their time,  work and projectsprojects!
  • don't be an asshole
  • Follow safety guidelines

Unacceptable Behavior

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination
  • Disruptive behavior
  • Theft or destruction of property
  • Ignoring safety protocols
  • Using equipment without proper training

If you behave in a way that goes against the good of the hackerspace, expect to be removed from it! For our space to survive, it needs to be friendly, welcoming and inclusive!

Violations will result in membership review and potential termination.

General Rules

  1. Safety Firstis #1 priority!

      • Follow all safety guidelines
      • Wear appropriate PPE
      • Report hazards immediately
      • Don't use equipment you're not trained on
      • if you want to weld batteries together, do it outside
    Clean up ya filthy animals

    1. Cleanliness

      • Clean up after yourself
      • Put tools back where you found them
      • Take out trash whenevery fullonce in a while
      • Leave spacesthe space better than you found themit

    Respect The Equipment

      • Follow proper operating procedures
      • Don't force tools
      • Report damage immediately
      • Complete required maintenance
    Respect Your Fellow Hackers

    Respect Others

      • Use headphones for audio
      • Keep noise reasonable after 10pm  (unless its a party, rave or LAN night!)
      • Don't interrupt focused work
      • Ask before touching others' projects

    Project Storage

      • Label all projects with name and date
      • Use designated storage areas
      • Remove projects after 30 days notice
      • Don't store hazardous materials

Tool Checkout

  • Sign out tools in the tracking system
  • Return tools within [timeframe]the agreed upon timeframe!
  • Return tools in clean, working condition
  • Maximum [X]3 tools out per member

Guest Policy

  • Members may bring guests
  • Guests must sign waiver
  • Members responsible for guest behavior
  • Guests may not use equipment without member supervision

Donations

  • Equipment donations must be approved

Disputes

  1. Try to resolve directly
